Itinerary

8.30am: You will be picked up for a full day trip to Salay. We drive southwards, along the Irrawaddy river to reach Chauk (about 1 hour) where we will visit a vibrant morning market. You can hardly see a tourist in this bazaar which is perfectly suitable for capturing some amazing pictures of the authentic Burmese life and interacting with the locals.

We keep on driving for 30 minutes more to get to Salay – a major hub of Burmese Buddhism. You can find a great number of religious buildings existing from the Bagan era here with very unique architecture, especially, Yoke Sone Kyaung monastery and its intricate wood carvings is an unmissable site. Furthermore, you will have a chance to learn more about the Buddhism in Myanmar as well as the way of life in the monastery.

Return to Bagan in the late afternoon.

TRIP NOTES:

- Duration: 7 to 8 hours

- Meeting & Ending point: At client's hotel in Bagan

- Dress standard: Dress code in Myanmar is pretty strict owing to its Buddhist culture. Therefore, you should bring lightweight and long - sleeved clothes. When entering religious sites, your shoulders and knees should be covered. Furthermore, comfortable footwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and a rain coat are also necessary things to pack. And always remember to check the weather before you go.

- Your Trip: Your tour will be in a small group of a maximum of 10 people.

- Child Policy: Free of charge for children under 5-year olds go together with parents. Children from 6 are fully charged as an adult. Please inform us when booking.
